Carbon pitching proved too much for North Sanpete hitters in the Dinos’ 3-1 victory on Friday.
A day after Jerod Lessar no-hit the Hawks, Dakota Cisneros shut down the North Sanpete offense en route to his fourth win of the season.
But the score, however, could have been a bit a bit more lopsided.
“It was no one’s fault but our own that it stayed so close,” Head Coach Troy Moynier said. “We took ourselves out of several good potential scoring opportunites with mistakes on the basepaths.”
He wouldn’t argue with the score, though.
“I am happy we got the win. It puts us in a good position going into the games with Payson this week,” Moynier said.
Cole Fossat, Derek Young, and Tyler Procarione all tallied a double in the game. The Dinos have won six-straight games.
Carbon (11-5, 4-2 Region 12) will travel to Payson (10-8, 3-3 Region 12) on Tuesday.
