After a huge win at Richfield on Wednesday, the Carbon Dinos were looking for two straight road wins Friday night in Cedar City, taking on the Canyon View Falcons with playoff seeding on the line. The Dinos couldn’t hold on to a four-point halftime lead, stumbling to the 63-52 loss.
Kyle Quinton was spectacular again, going 8-10 from the floor en route to 16 points, 14 of which came in the paint. Ty Moynier and Jamin Jensen each chipped in 11 points. Gage Daugherty and Chase Morgan both added five points apiece.
Carbon (10-11, 3-4 Region 12) has just one game remaining on its regular season schedule, a Friday home tilt against Juab (9-8, 2-4 Region 12).
With the win on Friday, Canyon View sits atop the Region 12 standings with a 4-2 record, followed by North Sanpete at 4-3 and Richfield at 3-3. With a win over Juab on Friday, Carbon would almost guarantee itself a spot in the 3A Playoffs that begin Feb. 17.
