Looking to notch their first win of the 2017 season, the Carbon Dinos fell to the Grantsville Cowboys in a homecoming matchup Friday night, 41-6.
Carbon’s Nate Olson scored the Dinos’ only points of the game on a 37-yard TD run in the waning stages of the game.
Grantsville scored on the opening kickoff for the early lead. The Cowboys led 27-0 at the half.
Turnovers plagued the Dinos in the game, with starting quarterback Noah Jones throwing four interceptions.
It doesn’t get any easier for Carbon (0-7, 0-3 3A North), as it will travel to Morgan (5-2, 3-0 3A North) on Friday for the region contest. The Trojans beat the Dinos 48-7 a season ago.
