Carbon hosted its annual Blue and White scrimmage on Friday evening. The game could more accurately be call the Black and White game due to the Dinos new practice jerseys, but the competition remained the same. The event allowed players to get ready for the season in a game-like atmosphere with referees, a scoreboard and time. Several athletes were able to showcase their talents in front of a crowd on Friday night.
Senior Collin Lewis had his slick jump shot on display as he knocked down several mid-range shots and a couple shots beyond the arch. Fellow senior Ty Anderson exemplified his quickness with a steal that led to an easy breakaway basket. Derek Hillam, also a senior, resembled his favorite athlete, Russell Westbrook, with his power as he took the ball to the basket.
The game was an important warm-up as the Dinos play their first game at home on Nov. 20 against Tooele.
