Dinos Lose Tough Road Tilt to South Sevier

Trying desperately to end an eight-game losing streak, the Carbon Dinos were tripped up by 2A South Sevier Tuesday, extending their losing streak to nine, 67-57.

Falling behind by seven after one quarter of play, the Dinos roared back in the second and went into halftime with a 26-25 lead.

The Rams responded with 23 points in the third quarter, their fifth highest offensive output in a single quarter all season, to take a 10-point lead into the final frame. Both teams traded buckets in the fourth to end the game.

Cole Fossat led the Dinos with 13 points. Brad Williams nailed three three’s en route to 11 points. Mitch Olson pitched in eight. Carbon connected on nine three pointers on the night, which was a season high.

Carbon (7-15, 0-7 Region 12) will wrap up its season on Friday against Payson (13-9, 6-1 Region 12) at home at 7 p.m. The game can be watched live on ETV Channel 6.
