Dinos Out-Muscle Delta in the Second Half For Important Region Victory*Video Highlights*

Sitting at 1-3 in the Region 12 standings entering Wednesday evening’s game with Delta, Carbon desperately needed a win to remain in contention for postseason play. The Dinos outran the Rabbits to a 80-70 win, picking up their second region victory.

The 80 points scored by Carbon was a season high. The Dinos trailed Delta at the half 34-31.

Dakota Cisneros scored a game-high 22 points and also racked up eight assists and eight rebounds. Derek Young put in 19. Jordan Blanc injured his left knee during the game and did not return. Blanc scored nine points before his departure.

With five games remaining during the regular season, Carbon currently sits in a two-way tie for third place with North Sanpete at 2-3. Carbon is 9-8 on the season, overall. The top four teams from each region will participate in the state playoffs.

Carbon will travel to Payson Friday for the team’s second matchup of the season. Payson upended the Dinos 50-45 on January 9 in Price.
