Dinos, Panthers Take Part in Badger Invitational

The Carbon Dinos and Pinnacle Panthers traveled to Bicknell, UT on Thursday for the Badger Invitational cross country race at Wayne High School.

The Carbon boys took second overall, with James Bryner finishing in fifth place with a time of 17:45. After Bryner it was Ryan Page (7th), Chad Page (9th), Jared Spendlove (11th) and Ammon Wilson (12th). Carbon (32 points) took second behind Monticello, who finished with 16 points.

Regan Hansen placed second overall in the girls’ race, with a time of 19:51. Megan Swasey was next for the Dinos, finishing in 17th. The Lady Dinos took home a fifth place finish.

Pinnacle’s Landen Hardy was the top finisher for the Panthers, finishing with a time of 19:51; good for 23rd place. Zach Gibson was next in 26th. On the Lady Panthers’ side, Stephanie Sasser and Kemery Stuckenschneider went back-to-back in 25th and 26th place, respectively.

Carbon will next participate at the Weber State Invitational on Friday, while the Pinnacle girls will travel to the Red Rocks Invitational in Moab on Sept. 5.
