The Carbon Dinos had six athletes named to UHSAA academic all-state teams recently. Emery also had five on the respective lists. Pinnacle followed with two on the lists.
From Carbon, three track and field athletes made the team, with Shannon Baker, Mikelle Monson and Makara Morgan on the girls’ team. All three have maintained 4.0 GPAs. Nathan Olson was found on the baseball all-state team, with Luke Hansen, soccer, and Cali Fossat, softball, were also honored.
Two Spartan track and field athletes found themselves on the respective boys’ and girls’ track and field teams; Landon Fairbanks and Alexis Dalton. James Behling was honored on the soccer team. Lainee Jensen, golf, and Addison Healy, softball, were honored as well.
The Panthers had two athletes on the teams, with Remington Motte on the boys’ track and field team. Kaeley Taylor was the lone honoree from the Castle Valley to be named a two-sport academic all-state selection, in both golf and track and field, for the spring sports lineup.
