Dinos’ Tennis Walks Away From Match Against Maeser Prep Triumphant

The Carbon Dinos boys’ tennis team traveled to Pleasant Grove on Monday afternoon to play in a match against Maeser Prep. The team was successful, walking away with a victory of 4-1.

Team member Zade Carrillo won first singles with a final score of 6-2, 7-6. Carson Martines was also triumphant, winning second singles, 6-0,6-3. A final score of 7-5, 6-4 meant that Chandler Clifford beat his third singles opponent as well.

Also continuing the winning streak for the team was Canden Stockdale and Jackson Rosier, who defeated their first doubles opponents with a score of 6-4, 6-1. However, the second doubles team consisting of Bonham Brewer and Jack Christensen suffered their first loss of the season with a final score of 6-1, 2-6, 3-6.

The team will next square off against Juab in Nephi on Thursday afternoon followed by the final home match of the season against Providence Hall, which will be played April 23 at 4 p.m.
