Down 10-5 entering the bottom of the seventh, the Carbon Dinos got a hit from Ty Anderson, took advantage of walks and used passed balls to escape with a 11-10 win against the visiting Delta Rabbits Tuesday. Carbon won on a passed ball.
Zac Bradley, Jadon Robertson and Anderson went a combined 8-12 at the plate with Robertson bashing a second-inning, two-run home run over the left center fence to extend the Carbon lead to 3-0. He finished with four RBIs in the game after going 3-3 from the plate. Anderson also had three hits in the game, one going for a double. He had four stolen bases in the game as well. Anderson also scored the winning run for the Dinos.
Carbon took a 4-0 lead into the fifth, but Delta responded with six runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to take the 10-5 lead going into the final inning.
Triton Abeyta got the start on the mound, going four innings while giving up four earned runs and striking out six. Jaxon Leonard spelled Abeyta for an inning, in which he allowed two runs, both unearned. Nate Olson then finished the game and got the win after two innings of work.
Carbon (9-5, 2-0 Region 14) will travel to Providence Hall on Wednesday to make up a game that was rained out over a week ago. Carbon and Delta will then meet up again on Friday in Delta.
