Price City Press Release
On Wednesday, Price City hosted a meeting of business and property owners to begin the discussion and preparations to establish a long term Business Improvement District (BID). In addition to senior Price City staff and elected officials, 20 downtown Price area business and property owners gathered.
Following a presentation of existing Price City economic development programs, including the Price City Economic Vitality Loan Program and the Price City EASY (property repair and upgrade reimbursements) program, the group began to discuss the establishment of a BID.
Discussions centered around the potential district boundaries, mechanisms for funding and assessment as well as potential projects for improvement of both the public and the private spaces and buildings within the downtown Price area. A preliminary review of the responsibilities of Price City, of a potential new BID Board and the use of area community development charities to facilitate improvement projects was held.
