Donkeys, dance and basketball all had a role to play during the annual donkey basketball fundraiser at Carbon High School on Wednesday. Hosted in the school’s gymnasium, the event was organized by Carbon’s Future Farmers of America to raise funds for their organization.
The first game featured the cross-county rivalry of the Dinos and Spartans. Carbon again took to the court in a second game, this time against players from USU Eastern.
Funds raised at the event will directly benefit students in the local FFA chapter, with money allotted to scholarships, events and competitions. The next competition for Carbon FFA students will be on April 17 and 18 as the Dinos travel to the State Career Development Event.
To cap off the evening, local dancers performed various numbers and an array of prizes were awarded to attendees.
