Press Release

“Addicted to Comedy” is a new stand-up comedy show about the grizzly life of addiction and the road to recovery. Andy Gold began his career in stand-up just six months after a near-fatal overdose prompted his family to intervene and get treatment.

Gold’s comedy has been featured on Hulu, Audible’s Punchlines and he can be heard regularly on Kevin Hart’s LOL network on SiriusXM. Gold also has a full-length special release by Dry Bar comedy called “Dreamcatcher” where his clips have combined for millions of views.

Since much live entertainment is fueled by drugs and alcohol, this show gives the clean and sober population a chance to come out and have a great time without being pressured to drink. Moreover, given the unique nature of this show, Gold also draws plenty of “normal” people and stand-up comedy fans who appreciate something new.

With Gold is special guests and funny comedians Andrew Hobbs and Sam Poulter. Together, they are teaming up with the city of Helper and 100% of concession sales will donated to Helper Revitalization. This event will take place at the Rio Theatre in Helper on Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. To purchase tickets, please click here.
