Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Press Release

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is busy stocking a pond at Green River State Park for kids fishing day. The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 from 8 a.m. to noon and will be free of charge.

To ensure good fishing, the DWR will plant the pond with 500 eight-inch rainbow trout just prior to the event. The pond is also home to bass, bluegill and a few catfish.

If you don’t have your own fishing equipment, the DWR will provide rods, reels and even bait. DWR personnel will be available for those who are beginners or just need help.

For more information, call DWR regional volunteer coordinator Walt Maldonado, at (435) 820-8147.
