Thursday was a unique day for local elementary school students as they participated in National Reading Across America and Dr. Seuss Day.
At local elementaries National Honor Society and PEAK students were able to read classic Seuss novels such as “Cat in the Hat” and “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.” The students were also able to participate in various activities with the children at each school.
The National Honor Society and PEAK members were also able to leave the students with Dr. Seuss bookmarks and pencils.
Students at Castle Heights also received a special treat courtesy of Castle Heights Library, National Honor Society and PEAK. This event was organized by Gail Scoville, Carol Chiara and Mrs. Munns and various librarians in the Castle Country area.
