Drivers Compete in Burnout Competition at Helper Arts Festival

The  Helper Arts Festival featured a burnout competition on Friday evening. The competition featured a variety of vehicles, including a 1935 Ford Rat Rod, a 1969 Camaro, a 1993 Ford Mustang and a 2004 GMC stock truck.

There were three classes of competition including rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive and posi-traction. Each class is scored from 1-10 in the categories of audience response, control and distance, and most smoke.

Winners from each class were chosen, while the highest scoring of the entire event was chosen as the big winner. Plaques, trophies and cash awards were given for the different achievements. The winner overall was Zachary Burdick, who competed with a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro.
