Price City Police Department Press Release

On April 28, two people were arrested for their involvement in a drug related aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping case.

The arrests followed an extensive investigation by Carbon Metro Drug Task Force Agents Mike Adams and Stephen Regruto. Through confidential sources, the task force learned that on April 09, 2015 Dusty Lambert, Lehi, and Joanne Ford, Price, held two Vernal women at gunpoint, at a Carbonville residence, and attempted to force the women to repay them for stolen methamphetamine.

When the women refused to pay for the drugs, Ford wrote a bill of sale to a vehicle owned by one of the women and Lambert forced the woman, at gunpoint, to sign the bill of sale. Lambert and Ford took the green Volvo S80 to Ogden, where they sold it to an unknown male.

Ford, 50, was arrested without incident at her residence in Price and booked into the Carbon County Jail on charges of theft of an operable motor vehicle and vehicle burglary. Lambert, 40, was arrested at his Lehi residence by officers from the Lehi Police Department. Lehi officers located the firearm used in the kidnapping, a bulletproof vest and over 10 ounces of methamphetamine in Lambert’s possession.

Lambert remains incarcerated at the Utah County Jail on charges related to the Lehi arrest and is awaiting transport to the Carbon County Jail. He will be charged in Carbon County with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

The stolen vehicle has not yet been recovered.
