Hannah Dyer scored a career-high 27 points to help the Emery Lady Spartans power their way to a Region 15 regular season championship Thursday night against an overmatched Wasatch Academy team, 72-31.
Dyer also set a career-high with six 3-pointers.
Emery finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in region action and an overall record of 18-3.
The second-ranked Emery team led 52-15 at half and coasted to the easy win. The Spartans beat the Tigers 53-21 back on Jan. 23. Ashlynn Allred connected on three 3-pointers en route to 17 points, overall.
Emery will gear up for a tournament run, which will commence next Friday at 6:30 p.m. against Rockwell Charter High School (6-15, 3-7 Region 14) in the first round of the 2A tournament at Orem High School.
