Pinnacle hosted a game against the Wayne Badgers on Wednesday evening.
The game was extremely close in the first half. With the score tied at 13 after the opening quarter, the Badgers were able to take a 30-25 lead into halftime.
“We came out strong in the first half, only down by five,” said head coach Eric Hansen. “However, with many of our key players either fouled out in the first half or in foul trouble, we started slow [in the second half] and came out with less intensity.”
Wayne doubled its score in the third quarter to bust the game wide open, 60-34. The Badgers coasted to a 69-37 win over the Panthers.
Senior Riley Wilson led the team with 24 points while junior Jon Stoddard had a team high in rebounds and steals with nine and four, respectively.
“Overall, I am very proud of these players and they gave it their all,” concluded Hansen.
The Panthers (4-16, 1-6 Region 19) will take to the road on Friday for a rematch against Whitehorse (4-13, 1-6 Region 19).
