At approximately 6:30 a.m. Friday morning, those traveling through Spanish Fork Canyon were briefly interrupted due to a semi-truck rollover.

The Utah Highway Patrol and other first responders arrived on scene to assist in traffic flow, care for the accident and follow up on any injuries and spills from the wreckage.

The accident occurred on SR 6 near mile post 215 at the Scofield Junction. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the semi was traveling westbound and the driver was drowsy. The vehicle ended up drifting off of the right edge on a curve and the driver over-corrected to get back on the road, causing the rollover.

The semi did block both westbound lanes. However, due to the wide roads, traffic was still able to be directed around the accident. The driver was reported as being not seriously injured, yet was still transferred to a nearby hospital.
