The baseball field located at the Helper Park was used for a unique purpose on Saturday morning: to host the city’s Easter egg hunt. This event, hosted annually, brought out a large number of community youngsters with their parents and baskets in tow, ready to scoop up the colorful eggs.
Separated into age groups, and boasting plastic and real eggs alike, the hunt began at 9 a.m. Mayor Lenise Peterman led the ten-second countdown herself before the kids were released to gather. The Easter Bunny also made a special appearance at the event, allowing attendees to snap a photo with him before his busy day on Sunday.
