“When we take care of women, we take care of everyone.”
This was one of the opening statements from Danielle Pendergrass, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, as she accepted the honor on behalf of her business, Eastern Utah Women’s Health, being named Carbon County Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Month at a luncheon on Thursday.
Since opening in early 2014, Eastern Utah Women’s Health, led by Pendergrass, has been serving women throughout the local area with their health and wellness needs.
“It means so much to a girl like me who is from Carbon County and has always wanted to make a difference in her community,” Pendergrass said. “I’ve had this wonderful opportunity because all of you support me and my business.”
According to its website, Eastern Utah Women’s Health has created a comfortable, trusted place for women to go for their most personal health care needs. This is a place where women take the time to sit down and openly discuss your health care questions, concerns and problems.
“This gives me that added incentive to make sure that I am taking care of the women in my community” said Pendergrass. “When I can sit down and talk with women one-on-one about their health, in all senses of the term, it really makes me feel like I’ve given them the tools for their health, given them the tools for their family’s health, and then it trickles out to our community.”
Pendergrass went on give a complete presentation to those in attendance, explaining how good physical, mental and emotional health is good for business productivity and creativity as well as a positive workplace environment.
“It is our hope that women will take that time for themselves and discover that health care delivered by women, for women, can make a difference in their lives,” EU Women’s Health shared.
