Emery County Commissioners reviewed various proposals Tuesday at the old Emery County Courthouse.
Commissioners discussed fixing the sidewalk around the old courthouse because of the damage from work on the LDS church.
Commissioner Laurie Pitchforth said, “Since it’s torn up, I think it’s time to do it.”
Commissioner J.R. Nelson said, “It’s the wise thing to do right now.”
Commissioners agreed that there would be enough money set aside in a discretionary fund to cover the project.
Notes:
- Emery County received $175,000 to upgrade low-income apartments in Castle Dale and Ferron. The grant would cover the costs of remodeling the bathrooms.
- Commissioners discussed the need to support the Emery County Fair August 4-6.
