As a result of ECDC taxes rising, the cost of landfill rates will be going up $0.50 per trashcan. At the beginning of 2012 Wade Williams with City Sanitation asked for a $0.50 decrease in these rates, but in order to comply with the new tax raise, it will be going back up to the same cost as in 2011 and years before.
