Each year, the Price Elks Lodge tries to raise enough money at their annual golf tournament to fund Christmas gifts for less fortunate families. This year, they have donated to Helper City, Price City Fire Department, East Carbon City, Sub for Santa, Shop With A Cop and some in-house donations to local families.
The money that the Elks Lodge donated to Sub for Santa and Shop With A Cop involves the Walmart Corporation. Walmart also donates funds so that children can go shop with a cop and so that the families in need can have a more enjoyable Christmas.
The Sub for Santa funds were donated to Matt Warner 1900 E Clampus Vitus located in Helper. This donation will help expand the Clampers’ operation to be able to help more children during the holiday season. Garth Pitts, the Noble Grant Humbug and Phil Agee, the Sub for Santa chairman, have been deeply involved in the fundraising efforts.
