The Price City Utilities Department will be having an emergency power outage beginning at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8. It will last approximately three hours until 2 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. The outage will affect all of the west and south portions of the city as well as areas within central Price.
Crews will work to limit the duration of the outage to a minimum while they make repairs to equipment that has begun to fail on the main distribution line. Street lights and traffic signals in the affected areas may not be operating during this time. Please use extra caution and treat any non-working traffic signal as a four-way stop.
The Price City Utilities Department will be having a planned power outage beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, It will last approximately five hours until 4 a.m.on Friday, Aug. 10. The outage will affect the area above 600 North from Wood Hill to 500 East including the Coves and Cove Basin.
Crews will be making repairs to equipment located along 600 North. Please use extra caution while traveling along 300 East and 600 North during this time as crews will be working near the roadways. The sidewalks may also be blocked at the work sites, please plan to use alternate routes.
We would like to remind everyone to make necessary arrangements for home health care, personal and business needs, and travel before the power outages. Always report downed electrical wires or damaged underground utilities to 911 and the Utility Company. Before digging or excavating, have underground utilities located and marked by calling 811 or going to www.bluestakes.org and clicking on the “Submit Ticket” button.
