More scenic byways will soon be a new addition to Huntington Canyon after Emery County Commissioners approved the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant contract on Tuesday afternoon.
The US Forest Service has made plans to add more scenic byways along SR 31 through Huntington Canyon. These pull offs will also include signage to explain the history, trails and other aspects of the canyon.
The project costs a total of $32,000, $8,000 of which Emery County is responsible. Commissioners approved the $8,000 toward the grant contract.
