Students from Emery’s Drama Department competed in the region drama competition Wednesday and placed second just behind Richfield. The event was hosted by Emery High School.В Students from Grand, Richfield, San Juan and South Sevier competed in the competition.
Emery tied Richfield in the contest plays to begin the competition. Students then competed in humorous monologue, pantomime, classical scenes, contemporary scenes, dramatic monologue and musical theatre. Emery’s Jaceilyn Shakespeare and Mia Doria placed first and second, respectively, in dramatic monologue.
All who participated for Emery in region drama will take part in the state drama competition April 14.
