The Emery County Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday that it has received the complete case file from the Utah State Parks investigation of the Goblin Valley vandalism incident.
In October, an online video appeared which clearly showed three individuals defacing property at the state park. Widespread concern was voiced by individuals across the country and by the Emery County Attorney’s Office.
Since that time, state park officials have been investigating the incident. Although it is unknown what the investigation uncovered, the county attorney’s office has vowed to review the information and pursue legal action if applicable. According to a press release issued by the county attorney’s office, the reports are extensive and they do not anticipate reaching a decision in the matter until after the holidays.
