The Emery County Commission met Tuesday morning in Castle Dale to discuss a variety of topics concerning the residents of Emery County.
Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding between Emery County Emergency Medical Services and the United States Department of Energy. Commissioners explained that the approval essentially means any contamination of the CountyвЂ™s emergency vehicles that is caused by the Department of Energy will be charged to the federal government.
Commissioners approved an amendment regarding creation of the Emery County Travel Bureau; however, they explicitly stated the bureau would not change its normal course of business.
Commissioner J.R. Nelson reported a recent visit to the Lawrence Cemetery revealed dilapidated fencing and other unacceptable situations. The Commission voted to begin advertising for bids on a new fence.
