The Emery County Historical Society (ECHS) has two great events upcoming. The first is the Memories & Melons book signing.
This book was published by the ECHS, written and compiled by Cynthia Grant and Joyce Miya. The signing will take place at the Orangeville Library on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon, giving community members an opportunity to meet the authors.
Next, the ECHS monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Swell Room of the Old Courthouse in Castle Dale. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a unique look at Emery County by Ben Grimes, a photographer and videographer.
It was explained that, using his cameras and drones, Grimes provides a fresh perspective on the history, people and stunning beauty of the place the society calls home. ECHS dues are still only $5 per year for those interested in joining.
