Members of the Utah High School and Jr. High National Rodeo team met with Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert at the capitol to receive their national buckles. These students competed in Rock Springs, Wyo. in June.

Four members of the Emery Rodeo team were among this national team. They are Hadley Cloward, Hayden Cloward, Louie Ivie and McKoy Christiansen. The Clowards placed third at the national championship in team roping. Because of this recognition they were invited to rope at the US Open Roping held in Oklahoma City this past week and at the Champions Challenge in Heber City on Wednesday.
