Emery County is actively seeking citizens interested in filling (4) positions on the Emery County Travel and Tourism Board.
The vacancy is for two (2) two-year members and two (2) four (4) year members terms beginning August 1, 2023.
You are required to live within Emery County boundaries.
The ideal candidate for the Travel Board would be a representative for a company that collects TRT or TRCC taxes or operates a tourism-related business.
We are seeking members from both the Eastside and Westside of the county.
The Travel Board meets once monthly. We currently meet on the second Tuesday at 3:30; the day and time can change.
Per our Bi-Laws, The Travel Bureau shall recommend the expenditures of the TRT and TRCC Funds for Emery County, and “The majority of the board must be owners, managers, and staff TRT or TRCC collecting entities.”
You may obtain a volunteer form at emerycounty.com and submit it online or dropped off at the Clerk/Auditor’s Office during regular business hours. The volunteer form will need to be submitted/returned to the Clerk/Auditor’s Office, 75 E Main Street, PO Box 629, Castle Dale, Utah, 84513 by July 25, 2023, by the close of business.
