This year’s Emery County Fair boasts days of exciting and fun things to do. With the goal of “Building Dreams, Friendships and Memories”, the activities begin Wednesday, with the Emery County Aquatic Center hosting a free swim day,В a blanket picnic, free Cold StoneВ ice cream and Karaoke at 5:30 p.m.
Also at 5:30 will be a Ping Pong Ball Drop, which involves a helicopter flying over theВ Aquatic Center to drop 250 Ping Pong balls of assorted colors, which can then be turned in for prizes.
Thursday will be the opening day for inflatable games and vendors, and will feature a performance by the a cappella group, Vocalocity, who will perform at noon at the fairgrounds. The day’s other eventsВ include Teen Activities, a 3-D Archery Shoot, a Back Seat Driving Contest and a Dinner for Seniors.
Friday is Kids’ Day at the Fair. The fun starts at 11 a.m. with a baby contest. At 2:00 p.m. kids games begin, and Little Miss Emery will be performing at around the same time. In the outdoor arena, locals can participate in a 20,000 Frisbee Drop, and then wrap up the day with a 9 p.m. Movie in the Park.
The Parade will kick off Saturday’s activities at 10 a.m. Following the parade, there will be a Chili Cook Off and the Emery County Win it in a Minute Game Show.
That night, American Idol Contestant Danney Gokey will headline the Emery County Fair Free Concert, with opening act Randy Montana.
