Jacobson Leads Balanced Attack in Win Over Millard *Photo Gallery*

The Emery Spartans eked out a 56-54 win over the Millard Eagles Tuesday night, hanging on as Millard attempted a fourth-quarter comeback.

In a back-and-forth game, in which both teams won two quarters apiece, the Spartans were able to get the road victory with four players scoring in double figures.

Bowdie Jacobson led Emery with 14 points, including two threes. Kolton Butler, Koby Butler and Beau Roundy each contributed 12 points apiece. Zac Jorgensen nailed two treys en route to six points.

After falling behind by nine points after one quarter of play, Emery cut the Millard lead to two at the half, 30-28. The Spartan defense then stifled the Eagles in the third, with Emery up 43-36 going into the fourth.

Emery (5-1, 0-0 Region 15) will next take on Delta (2-2, 0-0 Region 13) Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game can be viewed live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
