Emery High School participated in the State Drama Competition on Friday and Saturday at Juab High School in Nephi.

The advanced drama class performed parts of the play “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. The class received a superior score at the state level.

High school students are scored on the level of S-Superior, E-Excellent, G-Good, and F-Fair, with the state-level competition being adjudicated more severely than at the region level.

High school students must have received a minimum of two-out-of-three superior ratings at region to to compete at state competition.

Emery High Drama Advisor Neal Peacock told the team, “If this where a real competition, you would have taken state.”

Peacock was proud of his students for their hard work and hopes that his 150th play, 101 Dalmatians, will be a hit for the kids. 101 Dalmatians will premiere just after spring break.
