The defending 3A champions, Juab, came to town on Friday night for a matchup against Emery. The Wasps showed up and scored first with a 77-yard catch and run.

Although Ryker Jensen was back as center for the Spartans, the offense never found its footing. Juab took advantage on the other side of the ball with 35 unanswered points and took that lead into the half.

Dane Sitterud got on the Spartans on the board in the third quarter with his rushing touchdown, but that was the last of the damage. Juab was in control all night. Even the kicking game made a splash as Ryker Richards hit a 51-yard field goal. Juab emerged victorious 38-6.

Creek Sharp led the Spartans with six receptions for 43 yards while Maddex Christman had a team-high 14 tackles.

The Spartans (2-3) will now turn to their region schedule where they are slated to take on South Summit (5-0) on the road this Friday.
