Emery played two road region games to start the week.

First, the Spartans traveled to Blanding on Tuesday to take on the Broncos. Koda Alton hit home the first run of the game in the first, but San Juan quickly tied later that inning. Kyson Stilson stole third with two outs in the fourth and later scored on a passed ball to give Emery the 2-1 lead. Bron Gordon and Alton each singled in the fifth to lead off the inning and both would eventually score.

Emery broke the game wide open in the seventh inning and scored seven runs. Alton hit two doubles in the inning and drove in two. Brax Jensen had two RBIs on a triple. Emery went on to win 11-2. Alton finished the day 4-4 with a walk. Kyson went 3-5, with a RBI and three runs. Cade Brazier had nine strikeouts through 6.2 innings and only gave up one earned run.

On Wednesday, Emery played in Monroe against the Rams. South Sevier scored two runs in the first inning after a pair of leadoff walks. The Spartans then tied the game at 2 in the third inning. The Rams broke the tie in the bottom of the fourth, scoring four runs to gain the 6-2 advantage. Emery responded with three runs off of three consecutive doubles by Gordon, Alton and Eli Beagley in the next inning, but still trailed. The Spartans were then able to tie the game at seven in the sixth after a two-out rally was capped off by a balk that scored the tying run.

The Spartans again had a big seventh inning, manufacturing four runs to gain some separation. Emery went on to win 11-8. Alton went 3-4 with a double and one RBI. Kyson led the team with two RBIs.

Emery (8-6, 6-2 Region 15) will host San Juan (3-8, 1-4 Region 15) on Friday to finish off the week.
