Emery hosted Richfield on Tuesday to take on the Wildcats.

The Spartans found the back of the net first off of a corner kick that was headed in. Emery padded its lead with a breakaway goal several minutes later. With under five minutes left in the half, Richfield scored two quick goals to tie the game at two going into halftime.

Partway through the second half, the Wildcats scored again, this time on a penalty kick after a foul in the box. Emery had controlled the majority of the game but due to these mental lapses, the Spartans now found themselves down 3-2. With under 12 minutes, Spencer Hadfield tied the contest at three. Then, with under four minutes left, Hadfield struck again to help the Spartans pull ahead and complete the comeback.

Gage Mangum and Brock Winter each had a first-half goal to aid the Spartans to the 4-3 victory.

Up next, the Spartans (5-3-1, 3-1-1 Region 15) will travel to South Sevier (07, 0-5 Region 15) on Thursday to play against the Rams. Emery demolished South Sevier back on March 28 with a 7-1 victory.
