The Emery Spartans managed just 14, fourth quarter points in their playoff loss to the Juab Wasps on Friday in Nephi.
Matching up against 3A South’s #1 seed Juab, Emery finally notched points in the final quarter to get the score a bit closer. Logan Cox went for over 100 yards on the ground, including a touchdown.
Emery finishes the year with an overall record of 4-6, including a 2-3 mark in 3A North action. Emery upended 4A Payson, Manti, Carbon and Union for its four wins in Jon Faimalo’s first year at the helm of the Spartans.
