The Emery Spartans scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to complete the epic comeback against the Grand Red Devils, 9-8.
The Spartans found themselves down 8-4 entering their final at bat.
Six players had at least two hits in the game, led by Tel Gardner who went 2-2 with a double, single and an RBI. Easton Gordon, Logan Labrum, Race Nielsen, Zac Jorgensen and Colton Willson went a combined 10-19, each with multi-hit games. Koda Alton had three RBIs in the game, going 1-3. The Spartans had four extra-base hits in the game.
Emery (9-3, 1-1 2A East) will have three games on its schedule this week, beginning Tuesday at Monticello (5-6, 0-4 2A East) before hosting Manti (4-4, 2-0 2A Central) Wednesday and Monticello again on Friday.
