Emery traveled to Monroe Saturday morning to take on South Sevier in the first round of the 2A State Championship. Emery got the big 5-4 win to advance to the second round for a matchup with Kanab.
Bryce Dugmore and Easton Gordon each had doubles in the game. Tel Gardner got the win on the mound. South Sevier was the #1 seed out of 2A Central.
