A day after the Carbon Dinos beat the Union Cougars, Union made the trip to Castle Dale for a matchup with the Spartans. Emery scored a run in the bottom of the sixth to escape with the 4-3 win, ending its five-game losing streak.
Emery (2-6, 0-1 2A East) will host Delta (3-4, 1-0 2A Central) on Friday.
