Friday evening following the boys basketball game against Manti, students at Emery High School attended a dance to help raise funds and food for families in need in Emery County.
The students at Emery High wanted to host a dance, so Sharice Madsen helped organize one. She discussed the idea with family member Becky Moore. Moore had the idea that since Christmas is just around the corner, they should make the event a fundraiser for the Emery County Food Bank.
The fee for the students to gain entrance into the dance was either a cash fee or canned food to donate to the Emery County Food Bank.
Principal Larry Davis and a few students will deliver the food and proceeds from the dance to the Emery County Food Bank later this week.
