The Emery High rodeo team once again traveled to compete in the Dixie 6 Series this past weekend. The team had a great showing in the event, which is the second weekend of a three part series.
“We made a strong showing in the team roping with three teams ending up in the top 10 on Friday,” the team shared on social media.
Louie Ivie and his partner won first, Hayden and Hadley Cloward second, and Ty Gordon and Taylor Wilstead finished in seventh.
Lacy McElprang roped her breakaway calf for a third place finish on Friday and Hadley Cloward finished up sixth in tie down. Riata Christiansen gained another point in the Queen contest as well.
Gordon and Wilstead earned another seventh place finish as they competed in team roping on Saturday. Austin Allred shared a 66 score on his bull to split second and third while Christiansen managed to hang in for 10th place in the pole bending. Also, McKoy Christiansen picked up a seventh place in the boys cutting.
“We are going to bring our A-game again over Thanksgiving weekend before we put the rigs away for the winter,” the team concluded.
