The Emery High Rodeo Club hosted its state rodeo on Friday, Sept.11 and Saturday, Sept. 12. It was a preference rodeo, meaning competitors had to choose which time they desired to enter: Friday night, Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon. This is a state requirement for venues that do not have three arenas. The Sevier Rodeo Club was hosting its rodeo at the same times, so the rodeo trail was busy on those days.

In the reining cow horse, Byron Christiansen was second, Zeek Weber took eighth and Monty Christiansen finished in 10th.
In bareback riding, Kayson Jensen earned first and Byron Christiansen took second. Cole Magnuson was second in bull riding followed by Byron Christiansen in second.
