Emery Loses 10th Straight *Photo Gallery*

Another high scoring affair turned into another loss for the Emery Lady Spartans Friday afternoon against North Seiver, 14-12. In two games this season between the two, a total of 55 runs have been scored.

Despite leading for much of the game, the Spartans saw the Wolves score three runs in the top of the seventh to get the come-from-behind victory. North Sevier scored six runs in the top of the first to get the game going. Over the first three innings Emery responded with 10 runs and kept the lead until the sixth when both teams were tied 11-11.

North Sevier scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh to take the victory. Emery had 13 hits on the afternoon, with Ambree Bennett and Megan Dawes each contributing three hits. Jessica Mason had two hits as well. All three combined for a total of six RBIs.

Emery (5-15, 0-7 2A East) is eliminated from playoff contention with its last two losses to the Wolves. The Spartans will travel to Piute (3-6, 0-6 2A East) on Tuesday before hosting first place Grand (14-5, 9-0 2A East) on Friday.
