A tight game throughout, the Emery Spartans faded in the fourth quarter and took a 71-59 loss to the Richfield Wildcats Wednesday night in Richfield.
Through three quarters of play, the game was tied at 46. The Wildcats then outscored the Spartans 25-13 in the final quarter.
Tyler Butler nailed four threes in the game for a team-high tying 14 points. Kyson Stilson also poured in 14. Brax Jensen was the third Spartan in double figures with 12.
Emery (9-7, 3-4 Region 15) will travel to South Sevier (14-3, 5-2 Region 15) on Friday. The Rams beat the Spartans 81-53 back on Jan. 5.
Friday’s game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
