On Saturday, the Cedar rodeo team hosted and rough stock riders picked up more points. In barebacks, Kayson Jensen took second. In saddle broncs, Korby Christiansen earned second, Drake Weber took third and Byron Christiansen finished fourth. In breakaway, Emery girls Jessie McElprang finished third, Abbie McElprang earned ninth and Kinlee Jensen took tenth.

In the shooting sports competition, Carbon’s Kagen Rhodes ended second in trap shooting at both rodeos and Emery’s Ruger Payne was first at Enterprise. In the light rifle, Kagen Rhodes was third at Enterprise and second at Cedar. In the junior high division, Ryter Ekker was first in both shoots and Kashley Rhodes took sixth at both competitions. Following the rodeos on Saturday, the state association hosted a cowboy prom and dinner at the complex. This is an annual event usually in November during the Dixie Six in Hurricane, but this year it was changed to September in Cedar City.
