In their first three state playoff games, the Emery Lady Spartans have gone 2-1, and continue their run in Spanish Fork.
Ashton Bell hit a homer and Gentry Noyes nailed a double and triple as Emery blew out Rowland Hall 16-0 in the first round on Thursday.
The Lady Spartans then ran up against the number-one ranked team in 2A, Manti, and were handed a 13-2 defeat.
Emery then rebounded with a close 6-5 win against Delta in the nightcap to keep its roll going.
The Lady Spartans squared off against South Sevier at 2 p.m. Friday and exploded for eight runs in the seventh inning en route to a 15-5 win.
Emery scored five runs in the second inning against Gunnison in the 4 p.m. game and held on for the 6-2 win. Bell homered in the game and Taylor Payne got the win. Noyes doubled twice.
Next up was South Summit in the 6 p.m. game. The game went final at about 8:30 p.m. with South Summit beating the Spartans 8-2, ending their season.
